Hi, I'm Suzie and I'm the owner of Toys and Games Ireland. I opened my small, online, toy shop in 2014, when my youngest child had just turned 3. She was starting montessori school and I was keen to have something to do in the mornings while at the same time having the afternoons to look after my kids. I'd had a couple of difficult experiences visiting toyshops with my kids which ended up in one or all of us in tears!! The biggest problem was that my kids wanted to buy overly marketed, expensive, plastic, noisy toys which I knew they'd get tired of within days. Saying 'no' often resulted in public melt downs and I grew to dread when we had to buy a gift for a birthday party. I knew there were lots of really cool, educational toys that would last longer and encourage imagination and playing together out there and so I made it my dream to open up a shop full of these types of toys and games. Thanks to a lot of support from my friends and family, Toys and Games Ireland has been in business since then.
