One Christmas, my girls were given play cash registers, which they still love and play with regularly. It was a gift, purchased in Ireland, but it came with sterling play money. Over January, I looked around shops to purchase euro play money, so I could teach them the coins and notes and their values but I gave up after awhile, as all I could find was sterling or dollars. Then, when I set up my shop, I discovered this set.
This lovely set is perfect for playing shop with and encourages children to learn what each coin and note looks like (although the notes are smaller than the real thing!). It also helps children learn how to add and subtract. Play money helps you teach your children from an early age how to spend money, get change and budget. Unfortunately, it probably won’t teach them how to keep their hands out of your purse, but it might distract them from spending your money for a little while!!
This set contains 116 pieces and is suitable for children aged 3+
